Applications for Phase 5 of Huddle Powered by Weetabix

FAW are excited to announce that applications for Phase 5 of Huddle Powered by Weetabix are now OPEN!

Following an exciting Cymru Women’s National Team Campaign for 21/22, the FAW have seen a huge increase in the women & girls football fanbase with 15,201 in attendance watching the play-off against Bosnia Herzegovina, surpassing all records and targets. Since 2018, there has been over 50% increase in female football participation across Wales as over 15,000 females currently play the game in both club and recreational environments – with football now being the number 1 team sport for girls across the country.

In 2019, Huddle was born to support the growth of girls football, allowing girls the opportunity to enjoy football in a fun, relaxed environment where making friends and playing footy is at the heart of each session. As female football continues to grow the FAW are looking for more partners to join this journey, by applying to become a Huddle Powered by Weetabix provider.
