Brickfield Rangers Take the U14 Trophy

Written by The North East Welsh FA, May 07, 2019

After an eventful 10 games in 3 days it was viewed that the North East Wales FA had achieved a successful Festival of football with all matches proving entertaining and teams battling against each other and the elements at times to help this event be memorable.  The first report is from the U14 Cup final which saw two teams battle out a nail biting finish.

Hawarden Rangers from the Queensferry Sports Junior League had the chance to seal a victory with a penalty opportunity in the second half, but this was blasted over the bar.  This meant that the game went to Extra time and Brickfield Rangers from the Wrexham Youth League gained a penalty in the first period of extra time.  This was slotted home and meant that the nerves were jangling even more as the Flintshire side upped the pressure levels.  In fairness to the Wrexham outfit they held on in the saturating conditions.

Congratulations to Brickfield Rangers FC who are pictured with the North East Wales U14 Cup.
